Subject:Goodnight and good luck...
Time:3:00 pm.
Mood: hopeful.
Music:"Straw Dogs"-Something Corporate.
Tomorrow ends one chapter of my life and another one is going to begin. These last four years have been the biggest learning expirience of my life. Not just learning in the most common sense of going to class, but learning more about myself and human nature in general. Slowly over these past eight semesters of class I have become a more outgoing Ashley, even though I may seem shy to some this is really opening up for me. I've made friends with many amazing people that I am never going to forget. I have expirienced new things that have made my life here an amazing expirience. I would point out every person who has touched but every person I've met while I've been at ISU has touched my life in one way or another, even though they may not know it. College has let me become the real me, not some me that is determined by the town I live in or what is popular on T.V. I have, somewhat, become the person that I've always wanted to be. Give me a couple of more years and I'll be right where I want to be and it all started here.

I'm excited about this next chapter, next phase of my life but I'm also scared and sad, to be moving on. I can only hope that I'll find a job and that I don't lose touch with these people that I've come to depend on. It has yet to hit me that I'm not coming back here. Come August I wont be moving back into this small dorm room with Heatehr, with Holly down the hall, Rachael and Cyrena next door and Tina a couple of doors down. But I'm ready to move on, I'm ready to be a real adult.

Fuckin' 77%. I'm over this prof and his damn class. Next time comment on my paper enough to make me and my partner getting the C see that it was justified. Why don't you just go and tell more stories about how great you are at PR to make yourself feel better.

Subject:It's fine, it's on E...
Time:3:11 pm.
Mood: sick.
Music:"Jude Law and a Semester Abroad"-Brand New.
It's about time for a real update, so here goes nothing.

For the past couple of days I've been sick and it's sucked. I didn't even go to classes yesterday, today I'm better but I don't have classes today so if the sick days would have switched it would have been better.

........

Graduation is in like five weeks and that's insane. No job set up yet but I'm going to be sending resumes out again starting this weekend and I've decided to get a roommate. Angela and I are going to be living together, it will be fun.

........

Big paper due in a couple of weeks and I haven't even started on it. Hightower's news letter due a couple of weeks after that, found out today that it took one girl five hours, haven't started on that. It's crunch time now.

Subject:It's not like they don't know who I am...
Time:11:24 pm.
Mood: calm.
Music:Project Runway the Musical.
So, my goal of having a job set up before I graduate doesn't look like it's going to happen. I don't have any interviews set up and that sucks. I was for sure New City was interested but I guess they weren't. So, after Spring Break I'm going to be sending out so many frickin' resumes that these people wont know what hit them. And I'm going to keep calling Victory Records until they agree to give me an interview or tell me to stop calling.

....

Danial V. didn't win Project Runway, what a piece of crap. He was totally the best but what can ya' do? I'm here, they are there and it's already happened. I'm a Dan Fan through and through, I know he is totally going to be on top one day.

....

This time tomorrow, I'm totally going to be home.

Subject:You can sing anything...
Time:8:06 pm.
Mood: cheerful.
Music:American Idol.
Just watched the XMen 3 trailer and it was amazing. I cannot wait until the movie comes out.

....

I'm going home for Spring Break Thursday afternoon, I can't wait to go home. It's been too long. One of the whole main points for this Spring Break was for me to do a couple of interviews up in Chicago, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. I thought New City was a for sure thing but they have yet to get back to me, so I'm going to be emailing them again tomorrow and also giving Victory Records another call. Keep your fingers crossed.

....

Funds are low and that is no fun.

....

I just have to say...he's like a fine wine, he just keeps getting better with time.

Subject:He went last night...
Time:7:56 pm.
I went to IHOP tonight and there was an older lady there that just kept walking around. She didn't know where her family was and when they told her the area where they were setting, she walked over there and just looked around like she didn't know who anyone was. It reminded me too much of my grandma.

Subject:It's been a long time comin'...
Time:8:32 pm.
Mood: happy.
Music:Rent.
I first heard the music to Rent when I was in junior high and since then I have been in love with that musical but have never seen it live. I have given up on actually wanting to see it live unless the original cast is doing it. There's something about that first cast, I can't picture anyone else in the roles of Roger, Tom, Angel and my favorite, Mark. When they finally made it into a movie, I couldn't have been happier when I found out most of the original cast was going to be in it. I never got the chance to see it in theaters, but it came out on dvd Tuesday and I picked it up when I went to the mall yesterday. After lunch today I put it in and for the first time I got to watch Rent instead of just seeing it. I know seems stupid to others but this was an expirience for me, I even cried a bit. Of course the story was sad but just actually seeing Anthony Rapp singing in the movie was enough for me. Yeah, I'm a dork but that's alright with me.

Subject:Well, there you go for the last time...
Time:11:44 am.
Mood: curious.
Music:"Ruthless"-Something Corporate.
Valentine's Day has come and gone, and I was actually in a pretty good mode all day yesterday. I guess I don't seem to get why so many people let this one little day get to them so much. Yesterday I heard it called Black Tuesday and Satan's Day. Yeah, so of my friends aren't big fans. I knew I wasn't going to get anything, I don't have a guy in my life but it didn't get to me. I don't know why, I guess I just see it as any other day. If I had someone, then that's different but I don't so it was any other Tuesday for me with a few little cards from some of the girls on the floor. Heather and I were talking about it yesterday and she said she agreed with me. I think we also decided that we should only hate Valentine's Day if we had some cheat on us on that day, cause that would suck.

....

Anyway, classes are going alright. I think I failed my law exam, I know I failed my law exam. There were six short answers and I didn't know any of them. I BS'd four but didn't even put anything down for two of them. When I tell people that I failed, they've been saying Oh you only think that. Then I explain the short answers and they get this look on their face like dang I shouldn't have said anything. Oh, well I guess I'll have to do really well on the assignments and the final.

....

I just want to say that I am not patiently waiting for the new Ataris album.

Subject:I'll see if I can help out...
Time:12:07 am.
Mood: awake.
Music:"The Adventure"-Angels and Airwaves.
I've been thinking a lot lately about many different things mostly about graduating and actually being an adult. I keep thinking that no one is going to want to hire me and I'll never get to leave Plymouth. I don't want to be stuck in that town for the rest of my life, it's just too easy. I want a challenge, I don't want to stay in the same little town for the rest of my life. I didn't come to college for four years to just go back to that town and get a job at some store or something. I don't want to raise a family there. I don't want my children to be judged because they don't have the "right" last name. I want them to be around more culture and I want the to expirience the arts and to be able to go to that concert and not worry about weather or not they will be able to catch the train to get back home. I just want a change of scene, I want to be around different people from what I am used to.

Lately I have also been thinking about how I treat people. Sometimes I feel like I hate everyone in the world for no good reason. Sometimes it seems like every little thing that everyone does gets on my nerves. I really don't want to feel this way but it doesn't seem to be something I can change. I think it's just this town, this state. I know this is affecting my relationships with my friends but this feeling isn't going to change anytime soon. Oh well, I'll just have to try to grin and bare through it.

.....

Aaron sent me the Angels and Airwaves song, it's amazing. I didn't have any expectations about this but now I'm looking forward to the cd.

Music:"Lights and Sound"- Yellowcard.
Saw this on Holly's journal, so I thought I would try it out as well.

Five Things I have never fully shared with anyone:

1. Letting my parents down is my greatest fear. I never want them to look down upon me but I feel that one day I'm going to slip up.

2. Most of the time I feel that I'm a chore to hang out with, I think it's my non-shinny personality.

3. I don't think I'm ever going to find that one special someone. I think I will end up settling for someone that's just okay.

4. The life I'm living inside of my head is far more exciting then the real thing and I wish I could just extract that life from my head and make it real.

5. I fear that my personality is going to lead me to miss out on some really great things like meeting new friends when I move away from Terre Haute or actually talking to a guy I have a crush on.

It still seems strange that I will be graduating from college in just a few months. I'm going to be sending my resume out this week and hopefully I'll have something by Spring Break so that I can look at apartments during that time. It's getting exciting folks.

My feet hurt, I felt like I was flashing everyone when I would bend over and not very many people showed up to help.

The little girl that one the the tv cried, I got lots of compliments on my dress, everyone had fun, the tree didn't die and we actually pulled it off.

The good out weighs the bad with the banquet. So, the Girl Scouts in New York Christmas banquet was tonight and it went better then I thought but I am glad it's over. Now I just have to get through all the things this week then I'll be fine. After this week I will be so much happier and a lot less stressed.
